Prescription vs OTC vitamins
Author: JoshThere is nothing special about prescription pre-natal vitamins. Ask your doctor about over-the-counter vitamins from Wal-mart or wherever you shop. Even with insurance, the OTC pre-natal vitamins are almost always a better buy. Compare ingredients too. The 3 samples from our OB were all different in what vitamins they included, what vitamins they left out and included artificial colorings and chemicals (that is a whole different discussion). Look in the store for a more complete formulation at a better bargain.
