Wanted to toot our own horn a bit. We sent out our first ever press release that was submitted to the masses (whatever that actually means) at midnight last night. The release showed up on Page 1 of Google for people searching for baby bargains today! Here is the press release…

New Book, the “Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide”, for Expectant Parents Released

Joshua and Shauna McDonald, parents of two boys, released a new book titled the “Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide” (available at MommyDaddySavers.com) to help new and expectant parents discover the financial secrets that smart, savvy, frugal moms and dads are using every day to find the best baby bargains on clothes, furniture, and toys.

Georgetown, KY, USA 8th May 2009 – The “Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide” is now available at http://www.MommyDaddySavers.com. The guide is designed especially for first-time parents, but can help all new and expectant parents formulate, plan, and prepare for the financial aspects of having a baby. In fact, the authors themselves have personally saved thousands of dollars over what the average parent spends and compiled everything in this quick, easy-to-read Guide.

“We’ve left no stone unturned,” says Joshua McDonald, author. “We only spent $300 total on baby supplies during the first year including the crib, nursery décor, changing table, dresser, baby bath items, breast pump, bottles, toys and clothes. We outline in this guide exactly how we did it.”

This guide carefully explores the critical financial issues of having a baby with tips and instructions from when you start trying to get pregnant all the way through baby’s first year. It says that the expenses can be overwhelming and if not well planned can lead to serious problems including martial tensions. Parents who fail to plan should be prepared to cope with a huge amount of debt.

The “Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide” is divided into eleven information rich chapters that reveal everything from preparing a budget to finding baby bargains both online and offline. This includes how to get no or low-cost baby clothes, maternity bargains, information on baby clubs, and links to websites that took over 2 years to find. The guide even includes helpful information about maternity insurance and what to do if you find out your pregnant and your insurance plan does not cover pregnancy.

The response to this guide has been overwhelming. Tammy Brown from Versailles, KY says, “My kids are already five and three, so I thought I knew most of the tricks, but I was pleasantly surprised. There are definitely some new ones for me here! I’ll be referring to this guide for baby number three. I’m a stay-at-home mom so any new bargain information really catches my eye. What I like most about this guide are the website recommendations and the recipes for homemade art materials.”

In all of our research for our site about baby bargains, I’ve managed to end up on various mailing lists primarily aimed at mothers and mothers-to-be. I received one in the mail over the weekend from a local hospital announncing their upcoming maternity fair. As a footnote below my name and address on the flyer it says:

“You have received this invitation as a recipient of a random mailing list. This is not an indication of pregnancy or a medical diagnosis.”

Whew! What a relief…for a second there I was wondering…

But seriously, this is just a good reminder, from my perspective, of why we wanted to create MommyDaddySavers.com. The vast majority of resources out there are directed soley at the mom, and for good reason, of course.

But these days, dads are more and more involved throughout the pregnancy process. I think all moms everywhere are very thankful for dads’ involvement. Our site is not just another girly, just-for-moms site. We have quality information that both moms AND dads can benefit from when preparing for a new baby. It is everyone’s job to find the best baby bargains. So check it out and get your copy of the “Ultimate Baby Bargain Guide” and join the member’s area for special updates and great information about baby bargains. You can see the main site and join the member’s area at no charge right here: MommyDaddySavers.com

To Be Continued…

Author: Josh

As you may have noticed, I have not had a blog update in some time now. My wife and I are covered up getting this business off the ground. Unfortunately, we’ve had to temporarily take a leave of absense from the blog side of things. However, I think you will pleased to see that you can get a daily dose of our collective wisdom from the main page of our site.

We have launched two newsletters. We have a Tip of the Day that is more geared toward expectant and new parents and a Weekly Newsletter that is a little broader. Please subscribe to one or both to keep in the know from our home page at http://www.MommyDaddySavers.com.

We hope to launch the book by April 1st. Keep checking here for the announcement, or better yet, subscribe to our newsletters to get up to the minute updates for the best baby bargains.
