Cloths made especially for burping are not worth the money. For one thing, not all babies are spitter-uppers. If your baby is or you feel more comfortable…just in case…then buy a pack of cloth diapers to use as burp cloths. Stash in a box for next baby when you are done or recycle as cleaning rags.

Special maternity bras and panties are totally unnecessary. Wear your own or purchase bigger sizes of normal lingerie at normal prices. Wait until closer to term to buy nursing bras because your breasts will grow throughout the pregnancy.

Do an online search for maternity bargains and you can find discounted clothing on sites like http://www.onehotmama.com and http://www.momshop.com. If you haven’t yet, now is the time to venture into the world of online bidding. Set up an eBay account and start searching for “lots” of maternity clothes – one auction where another mom has cleaned out her closet and is selling all her maternity clothes. If not abundantly clear, ask the seller what condition the clothes are in and make sure they have high feedback ratings with low complaints. One simple click and a little luck and you can fill your closet with most, if not all, of the maternity clothes you will ever need.

You might be surprised to discover a whole new world of shopping secrets where you can find bargains specifically geared toward maternity. It’s kind of like when you buy a new car all of the sudden you see them everywhere. Once you are pregnant, bargain shops magically appear that you had no idea were in your town. You only wear them a few months so avoid spending a fortune on designer maternity clothes. Plus, all the other women only wear them a few months too so buying them used means almost new any way.
